“Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school.” Field trips are regularly organized in the school to make the children acquainted with the different places for giving them exposure and knowledge.
Bal Bharatians visited Children's Home
In an endeavour to raise awareness of humanitarian assistance on World Humanitarian Day, students were taken to an orphanage being run by SGB International Foundation. Bal Bharatians were really impressed to see the enthusiasm of children. They shared experience about their school and aspirations for future. Through this visit, the students realized the importance of God's greatest gift to them, their parents.
A trip to BBAC
The school students took part in adventurous camping activities at the sprawing Bal Bharati Centre located at Glady Dhank, Rajgarh Road, Solan (H.P). During their stay they performed different activities as Net Climbing, Rope Climbing, Rope Ladder Climbing, Bouldering, Tent Pitching, Knot Tying, Single Jummaring, Double Jummaring, Parallel Ropes, Flying Fox, Wall Climbing, River Crossing, Rappeling, Trekking, Swing Ladder, Tyrolean Traverse etc.
Visit to Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana
In order to give them the first hand information about the ways of monitoring and recording weather, the students of Senior wing were taken to Meteorological Department of Punjab Agricultural University. The students were explained how the temperature, humidity, soil temperature, total sunshine, wind speed, wind direction and atmospheric pressure are recorded on the daily basis. Dr. Shantanu Kumar Bal, Asst. Prof., Agro Meteorology Department explained the working of different apparatus used for weather forecasting and answered all the queries of students.
Visit to War Museum, Phillaur
Students visited Museum of Punjab Police Academy, Phillaur. Students witnessed the statue of Maharaja Ranjit Singh which narrates the story of bravery and justice.Visuals and explanation of the articles increased the awareness of the visitors and enhanced their general knowledge.
Visit to F2 Raceway
Considering fun and frolic an essential ingredient of happy life, Bal Bharatians were taken to F2 Raceway – An Adventure & Sports Park. The visit proved to be a stress buster as the moment students entered the amusement park, they plunged themselves in the fun activities of the park. They tried their hand at almost all the activities that included Rock Climbing, Boating, Kids Paint Ball, Zorb Ball, ATV Bikes, Jeep and Go Kart. The net practice of cricket with a bowling machine was another major attraction for the students. The most adorable and hilarious game was Sumo wrestling where the students wore a very stuffy outfit that made them resemble Sumo wrestlers.Various indoor video games were also available for the students.
Trip to Nanital
Students of senior department went for the three nights- four days trip to Corbett- Nanital. The students ecstatically benefited from the numerous indoor activities of the resort like swimming, table tennis, volley ball, badminton, cricket etc. Many animals were spotted by the students in the Corbett National Park. Watching the wild animals in the first wildlife reserve of India was indeed a delightful experience for all. The whole group cherised the adventures of Eco- Cave Garden, visited the local Gurudwara & Naini Temple and enjoyed the magnificent experience of boating.
Trip to Jaisalmer(Rajasthan)
In order to increase learning output by direct interaction and first hand experience, the students were given an opportunity to visit Jaisalmer to have a glance of real sand dunes. They interacted with the people of Rajasthan and came to know about their colourful dresses, craft, cuisine and cultural dances & music during their visit. Further they studied about the life and culture of the people of Africa, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Thus,they learnt to critically analyze the interdependence of cultural and geographical setting that cannot be grasped from textbooks easily.
Visit to Uppal Museum at Punjab Technical University
The students of Senior Wing got an opportunity to visit Uppal Museum, PAU, Ludhiana where they learnt about various land forms.
